Each of our designs are developed step by step to express the requirements of, as in most cases, a growing family and their ever-changing needs.
Our first objective is to discover how the dynamics of the family work, how to create a harmonious seamless home yet appreciating individual needs for privacy and space.
The importance of zoning comes to the fore while what we like to call future proofing the home for later years must also be taken into consideration.
There are other elements that must be thought though like positioning the home on the block to take full advantage of the winter sun and energy efficiency, privacy from surrounding neighbours and of course capturing any views on offer.
In the case of our Applecross client’s residence, being a family with demanding rural interests and associated travel including adult children at university we had to design a home that catered for everyone needs. A home where they could all gather on those special occasions yet maintain an air of independence.
Combining lots of entertaining areas spilling out on to large Alfresco area with sparkling pool beyond completed a truly magnificent residence.
