Our clients were a young, professional couple who came to us with a specific requirement, as they had been window-shopping through all the upmarket display homes but could not find the home with the features they wanted.
We created a modern house design with smart features for contemporary living and a timeless look that would not date or lose its appeal in years to come.
This was a demolish and rebuild project, and the block was located close to the river but did not quite possess the elevation required to take in the sweeping views of the river. They had already been to see several builders, but none of them were able to come up with the appropriate solution for what they were looking for.
As this was a rear strata block, we researched existing levels and concluded that by lifting the home up with a brick build and configuring the space with reverse living upstairs, we would be able to capture the views they so desperately desired. It required a series of lengthy and tactful negotiations on their behalf with the planning department to get it approved by Council. Another lifestyle consideration was that they entertained quite frequently, and wished to have an outdoor area encompassing the views that could be enjoyed for drinks with friends and family barbecues during balmy summer evenings.
Our clients were absolutely thrilled with the final design we produced. Not only did we maximise the views of the river from their spacious living areas and master bedroom, but we also provided a very large entertaining deck which featured sliding glass panels which flowed through seamlessly to their living space. A built-in barbecue and outdoor bar facilities were also incorporated to set this feature off and allow them to entertain their guests in comfort and style.
We also positioned the guest bedrooms that it overlooked the inviting swimming pool. This was an especially useful and impressive feature to be enjoyed by their frequently-visiting interstate friends.
Overall this project resulted in a superbly-balanced and welcoming home which boasted numerous stand-out features to be enjoyed by our clients and their guests for years to come.
